This summer I seemed to be plagued with flies and wasps. I try to encourage them to leave my house but they can be very stubborn, and as soon as one is gone another appears.
I’m definitely for encouraging the population of insects , bee’s etc that are all a natural part of our ecology system but I’m not so keen on getting food poisoning, so I started looking into natural ways to get rid of the flies in my house, now only the ones who come into my house un-invited, as flies and food don’t make a good combination. I looked at many different recipes for natural fly killer but this is my favourite one by far, it works and has a pleasant smell in your house. Ingredients ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) 2 tsp sugar a few drops of washing up liquid Method Combine all the ingredients and place into a wide neck container – a jar, small bowl, ramekin. Leave in the area where the flies congregate, change every few days – 1 week depending on how many flies you catch. The flies are attracted to the ACV and the sugar and the washing up liquid traps them. Of all the methods I have used this seems to work best. I try to use natural substances where I can in my home. The less I can expose myself to chemicals the better. If you have any natural methods you use for jobs around the house that you swear by contact carina with them by email. Stop eating sugar, fat, carbs, meat, salt etc. We are constantly being told what not to eat, or should I say the ingredients not to eat, with very vague information on what we should be eating. The problem is that the message against sugar has been misunderstood and now many people are afraid to include adequate fruit in their diets, it’s a common conversation I have in the clinic. So let's clear it up a little if we can!
So the next time you see cut the sugar, remember this is talking about processed foods not fresh fruits and vegetables. Ditch the products and double the produce! If you need help with the ins and outs of how to eat healthier, contact Carina for expert advise. So what is cupping? It’s a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy, used to help improve blood flow, release fascia, release tense muscle, improve muscle recovery, release stagnation and move blocked energy. It is also part of Native American traditional therapies and was used by Celtic Druids as part of their healing methods. Simply put it’s not the latest fad, it’s a healing practice used for thousands of years. I use fire cupping methods, where I place glass cups, using a flame to remove the oxygen from the cups which then forms a suction, this cup is then placed on the body where the issue originates, helping to release the tension and improve blood flow and therefore allowing the healing process to begin. Cupping has become one of my top five favourite therapies for so many reasons! I use cupping with a variety of clients for a variety of reasons and the results are amazing. So what clients do I use cupping on:
Basically Cupping is used for much much more than athletes and superstars. To find out more, you can contact Carina at T -(087) 0978880, E - [email protected] W - www.itsanaturalchoice.com, A - Lisnolan, Manulla, Castlebar, Co Mayo, F23 C922 |
