Get fresh and fruityOk lets get rid of those shopping myths when it comes to healthy food!
!- It's not more expensive - Before you say thats rubbish I want you to go out and do one weeks shopping healthy. Swapping your prepackaged food, soft drinks, sweets, crisps etc an d just put healthy fruit, veg, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, grains, nuts etc in. I can guarantee you it will not work out more expensive. 2 - Everything has wheat and dairy - how do you avoid it - by not buying processed foods - they are the foods that are high in wheat and dairy, buy produce and you will not find wheat or dairy in there unless you are specifically buy-in wheat or dairy :) 3 - organic is crazy expensive - i totally agree, in the supermarket it is really expensive, but try a local organic box scheme (uk companies like Abel & Cole or in Ireland we have Green Earth Organics) They are much cheaper and pretty much the same as your non organic supermarket prices, plus it gets delivered to your door. So some simple rule: 1 - buy produce not products 2 - make a list 3 - don't shop hungry 4 - avoid anything with diet/low fat/low calories etc 5 - stick to your list 6 - do not stock up on treats for others, if it is a partner they can always buy something at the time they want it, if it's young children you can buy them something while out if needs be, it doesn't need to be stocked up in the house. Happy shopping

1) Do it for you!
if you are going to do something do it for yourself - not to impress someone and not because you are afraid of disappointing someone. 2) let it go - let it go We all make mistakes, accept your mistakes and learn from them and then let it go! Do not use it at as stick to beat yourself with 3) Be kind to yourself Stop talking negatively to yourself. Talk positive. if you were to say 3 positive things a day to yourself, within a month you would be much happier and more productive. 4) Don't dwell on what others think Use your own inner compass to evaluate how well you are doing or if you are trying hard enough. Be honest with yourself but don't take on others negativity 5) Celebrate your wins Be proud of yourself and your success, celebrate it and praise yourself. 6) Stop trying to control everything Focus on what is in your control, stop fretting over things out of your control 7) Be honest and objective about the job you have done Think of how you would treat someone else that did the same job - would you praise them? 8) Focus on improving not on perfection You will never get it perfect all the time, instead focus on improving your performance each time 9) Lifes a journey put your focus on the behaviour you need to achieve your goals and not over focused on the goal itself. 10) Be mindful Be present in the here and now. don't live in the past or the future but be firmly present in the now For more details of how to book and appointment or join one of our groups feel free to contact me here. |
