![]() Have you ever wondered why some people find it so easy to do things while others will always struggle? Me too. I see it all the time in the clinic. There are a few main things I have noticed over the years. 1 - Turn your can't into cans and your dreams into plans!!! When I say this I am talking about your focus. Where is your focus? Are you telling yourself you can never achieve anything, that you always try and fail, it's just too hard, you don't deserve it???? Well you are right. Shocked?? When I say you are right, that is because you are always right. Whatever you tell yourself is where you will bring yourself, so if you tell yourself you can't do it, then you won't do it. Now look at the people that achieve their goals. They are saying who's going to stop me? I am going to do this, just you watch me. They fall they stumble but they get back up. Their focus is on what they want so they achieve it, no-one can stop them. 2 - Hey what where you are going!!!!! The next thing i have noticed is people don't reach their goals when they are looking to the past, looking at how many times they have tried before, how many times they failed before. Well you are not doing what you did before. If you were driving a car and looking in the rear view mirror the whole time you are going to crash. Why because eyou are not looking where you are going!! Those who succeed usually have their eyes set on the direction they are going in. So wha tif i have a bad week, i can pull that back this week and keep going to where i want to be, that was only a detour!! Focus on where you are going and why you are doing it. 3 - Everyday habits Focus on the things you are doing on a daily basis, this will make the change, not what you do once a week. This can be positive or negative behaviour. Say i drank a fresh juice everyday, over time that is going to have an extremely positive impact on my body. if i drink a juice once a week, nah that won't do much. But at the same time if i drink a cappuccino once every day or had a scone everyday or a biscuit then over time this will negatively impact on my body, but once a week, not so much. 4 - i've been a bad bad girl how we talk to ourself makes a huge difference in our successes. if you constantly give out to yourself you will lower your self worth and motivation and most likely sabotage your chances of success, because hey, you keep telling yourself you don't deserve it. but if you accept you are human, that you are going to make mistakes and that no ones success is a straight line from A-B then you will pick yourself back up easier and believe in yourself and your worth and your ability to achieve what ever you want. So i guess what i have noticed makes the difference between people who reach their goals and those who don't is how your talk to yourself and where you put your focus. Keep it positive Keep it kind You can do whatever you set your mind to!!!!
