Masks
It’s the latest hot topic Do they work or not? Are they a form of control or protection? Do they protect others or you? Do they increase or decrease the virus? So many opposing arguments. For now it’s wear one or be fined As an ex nurse, I was a respiratory link nurse during my career, I have worn the mask since day one, when I was shopping. I did stop for a week when the numbers had been consistently low in Mayo, but the more tourism returned I put the mask back on. From my experience the mask is a layer of protection when worn right. It not only prevents some virus spread if you are infected but also stops hand to mouth/nose cross infection for yourself. To me, the mask symbolises the lack of clear information we seem to be getting in this pandemic. We don’t know what’s the right or wrong thing to do because we can’t make informed choice without clear information. So here are some simple ways to gain some control in these strange times 💓 eat healthy to strengthen your immunity 💓 sleep - get a good 8 hours 💓 meditate, walk, talk- we are all feeling the stress and fear of the unknown. We need to release some of that tension or it will weaken our immune systems 💓 keep doing some of the things you made time for in the lockdown 💓 don’t be in such a hurry to rush back to “normal” Much love💓
