We re all guilty of self sabotaging ourselves at one point or another. For some people it is relationships, for others it is jobs but for the most people that I see in the clinic it is food and health.
Here ar some signs you might recognize: Do you put in the least amount of effort possible to get through? Do you give up easily do you procrastinate? never seem to et started? Do you often fail to complete tasks, goals? Do you take on so much that you will not be able to do anything to a good standard? Do you put obstacles in your own way? Do you feel stuck in your current situation? Do you sit back rather than getting fully involved in life? Do you make excuses? Do you blame others/blame bad luck when you don't get what you want? Do you feel you rarely get what you want? You are probably self sabotaging if you answered yes to some of these. You can stop getting in your way. Recognize when you are self sabotaging and ask yourself why you are doing it? Tell yourself you are worth it! You can do it! You will succeed! No one (especially yourself) is going to get in your way! Try this simple exercise: Write down: Your goal When you want to achieve it What that means to you How will you feel when you achieve it How will you feel if you don't achieve it Whenever you feel that self saboteur sneaking up on you, get your list out and remind yourself you can do it. Remember: "YOU IS GOOD! YOU IS KIND! YOU IS BEAUTIFUL!" The film - the help
